The Sri Lankan Chaplain for the Archdiocese of Sydney is Fr. Chrishantha Kumara, he taught at Holy Cross College Kalutara prior to becoming the Chaplain to the Sri Lankan community. He was born in 1977 at Gampaha, in Moragoda Parish and ordained priest in 2004. His first appointment was to St Peters College Colombo and then to Loyala College Negambo. .He was the Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Kalutara -from June 2011 to June 2012. Fr. Chrysantha has a Bachelor of Philosophy (Rome), Bachelor of Theology (Rome), Bachelor of Arts (Kelaniya) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Open University, Nawala). Currenty he is studying a Masters in School Administration at the Australian Catholic University.
